Well I haven't been down to Lincoln City as much as I thought I would be. However I move there shortly after graduation (June 5th) and will hopefully find a few places to review before I take off on a 5 week adventure. I promise I will eventually get some reviews on here! There is this adorable little place called Eleanor's down in the Taft historic district that I eat at all the time and would be a great one to write about.
I do have a funny story to share with those non-existant people reading this blog. Last night I was starving, and went to a nearby fast food place for a burger. Generally I avoid fast food places, especially late at night because of all the weirdos wandering around. They can be entertaining though, like this guy. As I was standing near the soda machine waiting for my order, this older man places his. He pays for his food, then stands at the counter for a few seconds looking incredibly confused. Finally, he asks where he should sit. The cashier looks at him blankly then tells him he can sit wherever he would like. Must have been a difficult concept for him, because she had to explain it to him quite a few times before he finally gave up and changed his order to to-go and stood by the counter waiting. I don't know where this guy was from, but apparently the McDonald's in his town has a seating chart. How do you live nowadays and not know that you can basically sit wherever you would like to in a fast food place?
I just found that story amusing. That is all I have to say for now.

Lincoln City Mo's
There's no missing the billboards advertising Mo's when driving down 101. Ever since my family started coming to the coast, Mo's has been my little sister's favorite place to grab a bowl of chowder, so for her birthday party last night we headed to the Lincoln City Mo's for a celebratory dinner.
We walked in about ten minutes before closing time. I always hate it when people do that, and I felt pretty bad. However, the wait staff was awesome, and if they hated us, I couldn't tell. Our server was fantastic, and put up with the indecisive birthday girl and her friends without a sweat. So, if he somehow happens to stumble upon this blog, I commend him for his fabulous service!
Usually I get a bowl of chowder, but last night I was in the mood for a cheeseburger. Not the best cheeseburger I have ever had, but for only about $5 it wasn't bad. The fries were a little soft for my taste, but other than that it was a pretty good meal.
What the meal lacked, the service and the view made up for. The Lincoln City Mo's has a killer view of the bay! It's a great place for families or large parties, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg. Worth checking out at least once.

The Move
Pretty soon here I will be moving from beautiful Central Oregon to the breath taking Oregon Coast, and will be spending the entire summer stuck in a tiny coast town without any friends. So, in order to occupy my time, I shall follow in the footsteps of my favorite Central Oregon blogger, Bend Oregon Restaurants , and review restaurants on the coast.
I'm not a professional restaurant reviewer, just a recent high school grad with nothing better to do who immensely enjoys eating out. Hopefully people actually read this, otherwise my summer will be spent trying to find some other way to occupy my time. So spread the word and we'll see what happens!
